Plexi Collage

“I rediscovered COLLAGE when I began painting on Plexi Glass a few of years ago –  and love the fact that Plexi has infinite possibilities. Because Plexi is transparent, it can be stacked and layered allowing each layer to tell a story, or can be a part of the work as a whole. Whether I  intend meaning or not,  inevitably the viewer will combine what they see and feel into their own interpretation – and interpretation is what I love most about art, as it is the beginning of a dialogue.”

A COLLAGE (French: coller, to glue) is a work of formal art, primarily in the visual arts, made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. A collage may include Newspaper Clippings, Colored or Hand-made Papers, Portions of Other Artwork, Photographs, and other Found Objects, glued to a piece of Paper or Canvas.
